The Weekly Quickie: Schwarz Stein, Delacroix, R-Shitei, 12012, Moi dix Mois, Ice Bucket Challenge

Cyber goth duo Schwarz Stein will be making their first US appearance at Anime USA in Washington DC!  The band will also hold an autograph signing and their own panel during the event.  In addition, there will be a VIP package available that will grant fans early access to all events plus a private meet and greet and two-shot photo before the show.  The event will be held October 3-5 at the Washington Marriot Wardmen Park Hotel Washington DC.  Registration is happening now!

Ok, this one really bums me out.  Looks like we can add Delacroix to the disbanded list.  I really dig these guys and it makes me sad to see them go.  They will continue all activities as planned, calling it quits after their November 23 live at Nagoya HOLIDAY NEXT.  You can find official statements by all the members on their OHP, kindly translated by our friends at Shattered Tranquility.

R-Shitei has announced the release of a double A-side single followed by a Zepp tour in the fall.  The single, Hotai Otoko/Yawata no Yabushirazu, releases October 8 in two types, each featuring a different PV, and the tour will starts 10/11 at Zepp Diver City and will hit five Zepp venues, ending 11/16 at Zepp Fukuoka.

12012 has revealed the details on their newest (and possibly final) release, XII.  The album will feature a track written by each of the five members.  XII is scheduled to drop October 1 and will be the bands final release before going on hiatus in December.  Check out their OHP for a full track listing.

Super cool announcement for fans of Malice Mizer!  Former Malice Mizer guitarist, Mana's current band, Moi dix Mois, will be holding an event titled Deep Santuary IV at Akasaka BLITZ on October 11.  And, that's not all.  Former Mizer bandmates Kozi and Yu~ki will also be participating!  It's not often we get to see so many former members in one place and I can only imagine the tricks they have in store!  If you are planning to be in the area, you really can't afford to miss it.  Make sure to check their official site for details and tell us all about it!

And, on the silly side, anyone else noticed that the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has invaded Jrock?  So far, I count ONE OK ROCK's Taka, NoGod's Danchou, Acid Black Cherry's Yasu, Golden Bomber's Shou and all of Sekai no Owari among the participants with lots more on the tag list.  Rumor is, even the Gazette's Ruki has been called out.  It's like the best wet tshirt contest ever.  Who have you seen?  Leave us links in the comments!

That's the Quickie.  Catch you on the flip side.
