The Weekly Quickie: Momoiro Clover Z, MAN WITH A MISSION, LUNATIC FEST, GOLDEN BOMBER, MEJIBRAY, YETI

Check it out!  One with no sucks!  ^^

Hold onto your pants, folks.  I've got a cool one for ya.  Just announced, Momoiro Clover Z will be performing at Anime Expo in LA July 2-5.  Not only that, Paul Stanley of KISS will be making a special guest appearance during the show.  You may remember, Momoiro Clover Z collaborated with KISS on their last single.  This is an event not to be missed.

The Weekly Quickie: Hide, DEATHGAZE, heidi., Vampire Knight, MAN WITH A MISSION

We'll be starting off this week with an interesting if not sort of creepy announcement.  On December 10, former X-Japan guitarist Hide will be releasing a new song.  No, this isn't a Halloween, zombie, back from the dead thing (though that would be pretty cool).  As it turns out, Hide was working on a song shortly before his death in 1998 called Co Gal that was meant to be included on his album Ja,Zoo, but he passed before it was finished.  Now, sixteen years later, the song has been completed.  Using VOCALOID technology, Hide himself is able to sing the song he never finished.  The track will be included on the upcoming album of the same name commemorating his 50th birthday.

The Weekly Quickie: Knot Fest, Sailor Soldiers, BREAKERZ, LYCAON, lynch., MIYAVI

Planning on going to Knotfest this year?  No?  Well, I suggest you change your plans as some very awesome Japanese rock will shaking the stage in San Bernardino, California.  MAN WITH A MISSION, ONE OK ROCK and MAXIMUM THE HORMONE will all be taking the stage on 10/25.  Now, that is a killer lineup if I ever saw one.  If you are in the area, I HIGHLY recommend you go.  These three bands alone are worth the price of a festival ticket.

I've been seeing a TON of buzz on the net about the new Sailor Moon series that started up recently, but did you know there was a band?  It's called Sailor Soldiers and includes some familiar faces such as KillKills bassist Ery and Exist Trace guitarist Miko.  I expect some pop-metal goodness from these girls.  At the very least, some epic cosplay.

Live Report: MAN WITH A MISSION At Lee's Palace June 25th - Toronto, Canada

You all missed a great show. No, seriously, you did. Sure it was a Wednesday night and according to the event postings and live house ticket sales they were set for the late stage time of 11:15pm. But you should have been there.

Upon arrival and checking in with the swag booth we were informed that the set time was actually 10pm! Though I quickly sent a tweet to the effect, I am sure that this did influence a portion of what would have been concert attendees had they realized the set time was a bit more reasonable for a Wednesday work night. That said, for their first and only Canadian tour date it was a poor showing from the fans.

MAN WITH A MISSION took to the stage shortly after the change-over from their opening band, PARTYCAT, fantastic local band from T.O. Not one to hold back, nor daunted by the small crowd, MWAM lit the stage up with their energy and never looked back.

The Weekly Quickie: Memento Mori, Crossfaith, Man with a Mission, landz.

Just announced, eccentric rock band, Memeno Mori will be disbanding after their live at Shinjuku BIRTH on 8/17.  Personally, this really bums me out.  Memento Mori was one of my favorite up and coming bands.  There are no details given on the reasons behind the break up, but you can find member comments on their homepage which has been kindly translated by Karu Suzume on the Facebook fan page.  We will continue to support them until the end and wish them luck in their future endeavors.
