Hey, Do You Know: DADAROMA?

This weeks band was suggested to me by one of our staff. This band has completely shattered my expectation in music, they are insanely amazing. They have completely blown my mind; this has not happened in a long time. So let me introduce you to the band that has accomplished this: DADAROMA!! You may recognize some of the members.

I really love Yoshiatsu's vocal range, it's very impressive. So far I LOVE everything on their YouTube channel, there's noway I can choose just one song. I LOVE how hardcore they go in their pv, it just makes me want to wild and head bang along with them. They just had their first anniversary one man live on Jan 11. Watch their OHP for more coming up! You guys DEFINITELY need to check this band out, they're so worth it!

Hey, Do You Know: ARVISE?

As I was looking around for bands that have the 'umph' factor that I like, I stumbled across a band called ARVISE. Though they are fairly new from what I see, I was caught by their sounds. I LOVE  the roughness in Sho's voice in their demo video #2. They have me so hooked on this song, that I'm listening to it while writing this! I would love to hear more from this band because they have so much potential. This is one to watch! I'll leave you with that, so give them a listen and let me know what you think!

Hey, Do You Know: Zonbi?

So, I have for you a band that I have liked for a while now that I'm excited to talk about, they are called "Zonbi (ぞんび)"! They were formed in May 2013 and have 4 singles and 1 mini-album out now. Most of their singles have sold out and their mini-album's second press is also venue limited, so be sure to attend one of their lives to get it! I absolutely LOVE their theme and band intro music, it suits them VERY well. I would love to see their zombie march live. I really enjoy listening to Atom's voice, I can listen to him all day. Zonbi do have a sample of their mini album "infection rundesu" on their YouTube so be sure to check it out!

Hey, Do You Know: MAJOLICA?

Say HELLO to MAJOLICA! They came out with their 0th single 【春時雨】 (Spring Showers) released June 14/2014 and it SOLD OUT. There is a second pressing of 【春時雨】 available, but it is venue limited. Their 1st single is 【Masquerade/Misery】, which came out September 24. So far I REALLY like their sound, but I want to hear more. Kyohei's voice is fantastic and he has good vocal range. They do have sample videos on their YouTube channel, so give them a chance and check them out!

Hey, Do You Know: Paranoid≠circuS?

 So, I have been listening to this band for a couple days and I totally love these guys. Their look is what caught me off guard and made me VERY curious to hear what they sound like. Their music is the style that I love listening to. I'm absolutely in love with the vocals of the band. I could sit here all day and talk about how much I like this band but I won't. 

 Paranoid≠circuS was formed in 2013. They have their first single, "BoXX-D-" released 4.23.2014 and they have a maxi-single called "REQUIEM" released  09.07.2014 .  けものみち (kemonomichi) has to be one of my top favorites so far. I wish I could make those sounds using my voice like Garu, his growling range impresses me. My next favourite song would be BoXX-D-, then SAC; if I keep naming songs I will end up listing all of them. Unfortunately, I do not have any music links for you guys yet as they don't seem to have a YouTube. Have any of you heard of them? What was your first impression? If you like heavy music like I do, I WOULD highly recommend checking this band out.

Hey, Do You Know: Carrot Vacation Club?

Here I have Carrot Vacation Club for you all. This band was actually recommended for me to check out, and I like them. I enjoyed the opening for their show, their music is quite refreshing from my usual taste. I really like the robot part in their opening, and their music is fun. They look like they are having fun with their fans, and that is what I like seeing. It's new for me to see 2 vocalists in a band, and it seems to be working wonderfully for them.  I LOVE their enthusiasm on the stage. Can I jump too?  I like watching ちり headbanging on the side to GARAGURU. That's one thing I LOVE doing at shows, don't you?

Hey, Do You Know: NOCTSCURE?

This week I have a band that I'm excited to introduce you to, called NOCTSCURE. They have a teaser clip of their music on their YouTube channel and that's where I first found them. I love the teaser, it makes me want to hear the whole thing and I'm sure others do too! The song just has me hooked, it's right up my alley and I love the growling part. They have their first single out called  'アウラ(AURA)' and will hold their first one man live 10/31 at Ikebukuro Black hole. The event has sold out!

Hey, Do You Know: Fixer?

So I was looking through my Twitter and found these guys in my suggested follows. They look pretty cool, right? So I said why not and gave them a shot. Man, am I ever happy I did. Fixer is definitely worth the time to listen to them, check them out if you have never heard of them before. So far I like all their songs on their single 'Dawn'; I'll suggest 2 songs for you I love - 'Drop' and  'Shadow'. These 2 are my favorite because I like heavy songs, and maybe you do too? There is also their second single coming out called 'END of STASIS'. At SHIBUYA REX 10/22 Fixer will have a live "Sonic Impact".

Hey, Do You Know: VENOM?

I wont lie, the name Venom got me curious about them. This has to be one of my favorite bands in a long time. I love their heavy sound and how they perform live. I like Tsukihito's voice in their song 'Sixxth' and I love the song 'Dress', everything in the song comes together for me. They have two singles, one is called 'EMPTY' and was released 02/08/2013 and their second single called 'ABSURD' was released 04/23/2014. I will always have my ears open for Venom, they have made it on my radar.

Hey, Do You Know: Zillapark?

I have to talk about this band. I love the name Zillapark. Come on say ZILLAPARK with me. How cool did that sound?! OK, let's get down to business. They are fairly new, formed 03/2014. They will also have their first live on 2014/07/03. They don't have any albums out yet BUT they do have a teaser video with one of their songs which, I have to say, I like so far and am excited to hear more! Lets keep an eye out for them.
