Very first performance for Japanese rock legend Okuda Tamio in the U.S.!
American rock band, The Verbs, with members Meegan Voss (vo), Steve Jordan (dr), Okuda Tamio(gt), and Willie Weeks(ba) will get together making two rare appearances in Los Angeles to kick off the beginning of 2015. This also marks Okuda Tamio’s first ever live performance in the U.S. since becoming an official member of The Verbs!
Their first appearance will be at the 26th Annual Guitar Center Drum-off Finals in which the band will play a special set at the Club Nokia on Jan 17th. In addition, The Verbs will perform at the world renowned venue, The Hotel Café in Hollywood on Jan 19th.

[About Okuda Tamio]
Born 12 May 1965 in Hiroshima, Okuda is one of the top selling artists in Japan- a singer, songwriter and producer. After the band Unicorn disbanded, he kicked off his solo career, and in 1994, in full swing with the single, ‘Ai no Tame ni’. His first solo album,‘29’ sold millions. Ever since, he’s written and produced many artists such as PUFFY AMIYUMI, Kaela Kimura and collaborated with Yosui Inoue. In 2009, Unicorn got together again and they are even more active now.
Okuda’s music style varies from acoustic performance in his hometown baseball stadium, and in Miyajima/Itsukushima Shrine to recording and touring as a member of The Verbs with worldwide musicians, such as Steve Jordan and Pino Palladino. In March 2010, he started a tour, which he named “Okuda Tamio Extremely Ingenious Hitori Cantabile” where he tours by himself recording on stage. He is a true musicians’ musician.
