The Weekly Quickie: D.I.D., Kazha, VK Fest, TMRevolution

Looks like we get to add another one to the disabled list this week.  It was recently announced that D.I.D. will go on indefinite hiatus due to the mental illness of their vocalist, Akane.  Akane has been diagnosed with Schizophrenia and Bipolar disorder and been admitted to hospital.  Do to his inability to work, all planned releases and future performances have been canceled.

The folks over at Shattered Tranquility have been kind enough to translate member comments on his illness as well as Akane's letter to his fans.

More overseas tour dates!  This time from heavy metal lovely, Kazha.  Kazha has a handful of dates coming up, including Maid Cafe NYC on June 14, J-Summit NYC on June 15, and AkaiCon in Nashville, TN Aug 1-3.  These are sure to be a good time, so if you are in the area, make sure to check them out!

Live on the west coast?  Don't worry, you won't be left out.  Nameless Group and Tune-in Tokyo have teamed up with Cure Magazine to bring you VK Fest!  The event will take place July 6th at Nirvana Bar and Grill in LA and will feature Anti-Feminism, Kon of CeLL, Yuya & Nozomi from Carat, Tomo from The Rhedoric, and US Visual Band, Lolita Dark.  If you are a VK fan, make sure to head out there and show your support so they can be bigger and better next year!

Anime Festival Indonesia just announced this weekend that they will be hosting pop legend TMRevolution as part of their AniSong concert lineup!  The concert will take place August 16-17 and will feature acts performing your favorite songs from popular anime.

And that's the Quickie.  Latz!
