The Weekly Quickie: Mix Speaker's, Inc., SuG, Maximum the Hormone, UCHUSENTAI:NOIZ, DOG in the PWO, BABYMETAL

We reported a couple of weeks ago on the addition of vocalist NIKA (ex-MoNoLith Keita) to the Mix Speaker's, Inc. lineup.  On November 14, Mix Speaker's, Inc. released a demo on their YouTube channel of a new song recorded with their new lineup.  They will perform their first live with Nika on December 7 at Shinjuku BLAZE, kicking off a short one-man tour titled "Ghost House."

SUG vocalist Takeru has announced he will be appearing in a short film titled PARACELSUS'S HOMONCULUS releasing in the Spring of 2015.  He will be acting alongside Nakamura Risa, whom you may recognize from those Uwakimono videos, and costuming will be done by none other than designer h.Naoto.

A bit of scary news for MAXIMUM THE HORMONE.  Vocalist, Maximum the Ryo-kun, has been hospitalized since November 7 with meningitis.  If you are unfamiliar, meningitis is the inflammation of the tissues around the brain and can be life threatening if left untreated.  He will be hospitalized for at least two weeks, leading to the cancellation of their shows scheduled for the 12th, 13th, and 16th.  The band plans to resume activities once Ryo has fully recovered.

UCHUSENTAI:NOIZ have announced the release of a new single. Titled ROMANTIC☆AMADEUS, it will include two songs and a booklet titled "Visual Book Galaxy" for 1620 yen.  The single hits shelves January 14.

Those rainbow-colored maniacs, DOG in the PWO, have also announced the release of a new album and live DVD for early next year.  The album, called Paradogs, releases February 18 in three types.  Their live DVD, Tokyo Doggy's Land -2014-, releases April 29 and will feature their live held on November 9.

Okay, I know how much you guys love BABYMETAL.  For those of you who have yet to experience the kawaii metal phenomenon, here's your chance.  BABYMETAL has announced the release of a live DVD in January 2015.  Titled RED NIGHT & BLACK NIGHT APOCALYPSE, the DVD, also available on Blu-ray, will feature their epic two-day performance at Nippon Budokan held March 1 and 2 and will release alongside a live album featuring songs from the Red Night performance.  Just check out the packaging guys.  Wow.

And that's the Quickie.  Toodles!
